I want to create visual impact and a heightened appreciation to not only the design but the mortar as a material. The (Summer Sky blue) masonry paint helps to add power to the given rendered mortar surface, asking for an instant curb side appeal to the eyes and one’s emotions. This for me contrasts perfectly with the natural look of the mortar, which I have purposely built up to show off its robust and structural qualities. I want to celebrate the mortar a material that I often feel is overlooked and under-appreciated. I hope that my artworks can change this perception!
