In "Now the Rain Has Gone," I've reimagined the rainbow as pure color and emotion, freed from its traditional arc. After witnessing countless storms give way to those magical moments when light breaks through, I wanted to capture not just what we see, but what we feel when that spectrum of hope appears in the sky.
Rather than painting the literal bow, I've let the colors flow and interact as they do in nature - vibrant reds bleeding into warm oranges, brilliant yellows dancing with fresh greens, deep blues melting into rich purples. Each hue carries the memory of rain-washed air and the promise that follows every storm.
The title speaks to that universal moment of relief and wonder we all recognize - when the clouds part, the sun emerges, and we're reminded that beauty often follows our darkest hours. Through abstraction, I've tried to distill the essence of that experience, inviting you to feel your own sense of hope and possibility.
I hope this painting serves as a gentle reminder that even after the longest storms, there is always light waiting to break through.
