During lockdown Brian walked regularly in Sutton Park when connection with the natural environment became even more important than usual. His current series of paintings have been inspired by this time. He is a retired primary school teacher who has attended a number of amateur art groups over the years and is a current member of Lichfield Society of Artists where he exhibits regularly. For as long as Brian can remember he has drawn and painted, fascinated by capturing and distilling images. He enjoys the physicality of handling of paint, working in oils, acrylic and water colour.
