This piece is inspired by the colours of sunset. I have used acrylic paint to blend the colours together and painted a black flower design over the top. I have then used gold pen to add some details over the background. I really like how these details are more noticeable on the darker colours than on the light colours. This reflects how quickly the light changes as the sun sets, changing our perception of the world. Because I have used gold pen, this piece will appear different when the light hits it from different angles, keep this in mind when you're deciding where to place it.
This painting is done on a board canvas so will best be put up using command strips. The canvas itself doesn't weigh very much so normal command strips should hold the piece just fine.
