Introducing “Tobago palm”, by Lucy Cooper.
Features of Tobago palm:
Tobago palm spray art is an original screenprint, part of a limited edition of 10. This mesmerising creation consists of a 6-layer screenprint, radiating vibrant, captivating colours, embodying a semi-abstract style. The inspiration for this captivating piece stemmed from a gracefully curved palm frond that I encountered in a Tobago garden during my recent visit earlier this year. With great artistic vision, I've reimagined this natural wonder to seamlessly infuse the vivacious colours, scenic beauty, and the Caribbean's enchanting ambiance into your living space. The image measures 37.5 x 27.5cm, complete with a white border that features my signature and the edition number. The unframed paper spans approximately 48 x 37cm, providing the ideal dimensions to accommodate a standard 50 x 40cm frame with a mount.
This artwork is both signed and editioned, assuring its authenticity and exclusivity. Crafted with care, it is printed on 310gsm archival fine art paper to guarantee longevity and enduring quality. Delivered unframed, the artwork is securely placed on a backing board and enveloped in protective clear film to safeguard its pristine condition. I'm a Brighton-based printmaker who creates limited edition screen prints as well as digitally-developed photographic prints. My current work explores the themes of reflection and revisiting. My prints are characterised by strong colour palettes which evoke memories of much-loved places or moments of reflection, and I enjoy exploring unusual and often unexpected combinations of colour and pattern to reinterpret familiar sights. Water reflections feature in many of my prints, while reflection in the broader sense of contemplation and consideration also runs through my art.
