This piece is part of the Red Hedge triptych from my Communion series - a journey into nature and mood, whereby I took walks in the deep Devon coutryside to explore nature's effects on feelings experienced in the seasons of winter and spring.
The scene depicts both my own and each branch of the Dogwood hedge's enthusiastic reach for the light and warmth of the sun on a cold winter's day.
