My name is Deepika and I'm a London based artist. My work explores what identity is and can be through illustration, photography and experimentation. I tend to focus my concepts on memories as I believe they hold stong connections to our past, present and future identities. My pieces of work were made to create various optical illusions with the idea that they have no beginning and no end. My ideas and themes are primarily shown through various types of patterns. The patterns I make mainly use for inspiration are from traditional Indian paisley and henna designs. And also traditional Japanese patterns.
