Paul Binks is a Liverpool-based artist working predominantly with oil pastel, but also uses oil paint, watercolour and hard pastel. In his work he explores capturing the beauty of being comfortable nude inside surreal and vibrant spaces. Paul’s is asking the viewer, 'Does the space surrounding you make you feel more comfort being nude?'. The colourful interiors add a dialogue between the figure and liberation of the natural body. Paul uses oil pastel and different mediums to create a textural and energetic representation of the body and the interiors/objects around the body.
