Vikki Rutter | CV

Vikki Rutter is a largely self-taught, Cheshire based artist with a main career as a television camera operator, giving her a solid foundation in visual creativity. While restoring old cameras Vikki was introduced to Lomography. This now influences her techniques, using a bellows style camera from 1951 with expired 120 film she creates photos with double and triple exposures. Her work has been exhibited across Europe, recently at the Lacuna art festival in Lanzarote and PSI people over profit exhibition on Geneva Switzerland. Vikki finds landscapes to photograph in a new way. The images captured on medium format film employ double and triple exposure techniques, revealing an enigmatic metamorphosis that remains concealed until the moment of exposure. By blending the subject in unconventional ways, a fresh perspective emerges, challenging the viewer's perception of the traditional view and inviting them to explore uncharted visual territories. The resulting images embody a unique fusion of elements, unraveling the mysteries of transformation and offering a new lens through which to perceive the world. Forever capturing a memory in time encouraging the view to remember a space that once was but now has forever changed
