Lewis Buttery was born in 1995 and is an artist from Leicester, UK. He started practicing self-taught in 2013, when he was introduced to the art world by Soft Touch Arts. He started working for them in 2014 and spent the next four years running workshops in local prisons, council estates, youth clubs, and schools. He juggled his professional work while doing a Foundation in Art & Design at De Montfort University. Then he moved to London in 2018 to study Fine Art at Central Saint Martins full time. He founded Buttery virtual gallery in 2020 and then, in 2021, he graduated.
