Emerging Artist, Devon UK. Max's recognition is quickly growing, having exhibited in over 30 shows in his first few years of painting. Max's unique painting style creates its own mini universe, filled with emotion and intensity. There is often a juxtaposition between serious, thought provoking subject matter & humour/irony. His work is mainly done in oil paints, but also incorporates several other mediums, including fabric, acrylic and spray paint. Originally used as a way to cope with physical and mental illness, his work explores everything from the surreal to the ironic, incorporating figuration, symbolism, text and abstraction, all mashed together to form a sense of organized chaos.
