Mikey is an internationally published freelance illustrator based in Brighton & Hove, UK. Since 2008 he has had work feature in various comic books and non-fiction books amongst various other illustration work. His approach to his works is in part hand drawn part digital medium as well as Pen & Ink with watercolours. He speciality is in Cartoons, Comic books and Character design illustration. His style of illustration is flexible. He can go from a very cartoony and caricatured style to a more realistic style making him flexible in his approach to work. He loves to tell stories with pictures and create characters with personality and intrigue which makes him idea for children’s books and comic books. He also enjoys capturing people in real life on his regular commutes as a way of understanding people, body language which helps him bring characters to life in his work. He is a comic book artist and cartoonist at heart but also does caricatures and dips his toe into other areas of art like political cartoons. He lives in Brighton & Hove, UK, with his partner and their two cats.
