A series of paintings reflecting the daily walks the artist did while recovering from on operation in Bad Brueggenau. She was tired of the resting and bought a set of acrylic paints from a shop, as it was impossible to use oils. She choose a very reduced colourscheme, to reflect the emotions of the stay.
Rhoda is an abstract artist from Birmingham. Dividing her my time between Germany, the UK, and France, she draws to capture these journeys. These drawings inspire, inform, and feed her work. For example, during the 2020 lockdown, she returned to making collages, ripping up old paintings and assembling them afresh. Her work is mostly in oil, abstract or expressionistic. She enjoys working in both big & small formats allowing her a duality in creative expression.
