Jono Stapleton: My Creative Path, Beyond the Green

Hi, I'm Jono Stapleton, a 28-year-old professional golfer based here in Fulham, London. For a long time, my life revolved around the golf course, but lately, I've found a truly rewarding creative outlet in painting. It's a completely different rhythm from golf, and I've genuinely enjoyed exploring this new space for expression.

My earlier works, like the "Pun Intended" series, were a fun exploration of wordplay and visual humor, where I enjoyed merging concepts from sport and food. Those pieces were a great way to start my journey on canvas, bringing a lighthearted touch to everyday phrases.

However, as I continue to paint and evolve, I'm finding myself drawn to new ideas and different ways of expressing them. While I appreciated the cleverness of the puns, I'm now looking forward to exploring new themes and styles in my art that move beyond that particular approach. Living in Fulham, I'm constantly observing and finding inspiration in unexpected places, and I'm really excited to see where my creative path takes me next. It's a journey of discovery, and I'm eager to share the next chapter of my work.
