My work is a contemporary homage to the chiaroscuro and imprimatura techniques pioneered by Caravaggio and the Florentine masters of the 1600s. Through painstaking oil painting, often taking months to complete a single piece, I explore the interplay of light and shadow as a means to capture not just form, but the very soul of my subjects.

Using authentic earth pigments - ochres, reds, and other natural hues - I blend oil, tempera, and watercolor on diverse surfaces from wood to canvas. This layered process reveals the subtle textures and vibrant depth that make each painting a tactile, immersive experience.
