A Modern Ritual

This piece looks at the cyclical ritual of putting on and taking off makeup. It was produced in lockdown, where the routine of glamour seemed to become arbitrary and futile. The blank space in between symbolises the mundanity of makeup, as nothing occurs between making oneself beautiful, and going back to bed.
