Swept Away was created during Birmingham Open Studios - a live painting that pushed the artist very much out of her comfort zone.

Another painting resides underneath this (as is often the case with Clare's work) something that was started but discarded after the first day. Going in again, Clare leant into the discomfort and used large, confident mark making to create a feeling of energy and movement, with the bold burnt orange marks anchoring the piece.

The painting is sealed with a Sennelier gloss varnish with UV protection. This piece is currently not framed, however the artist can arrange for this to be done. Please contact directly for more information. Artwork also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
