This is a painting based on one of my frequent night walks in my local landscape and suburbs. I like the quiet of the night and the way the everyday can become transformed and take on an unexpected and uncanny quality in the shadows of the dark. I try and represent an almost dreamlike quality in the paintings in my explorations of colour and form.
