Introducing “The Arch Artwork”, by Bea Dina.
Features of The Arch Artwork:
The arch in my hometown, Modena, Italy, represents a symbol of welcome and togetherness. It's about walking side by side, no matter the weather. It's like an extension of a private home onto the public road, a place where we can feel both protected and open to the unknown.
The arch acrylic artwork I painted on this special canvas is my way of showing a spiritual gateway. It's like a bridge inside us where we can connect with others and be tolerant of all the different aspects of life. This is a safe space where various beliefs, cultures, and histories can come together and help us grow as individuals, instead of being seen as a threat to who we are.
I created this painting by using different layers and materials, while thinking about the challenges and enriching experiences of being in an interfaith and multicultural marriage for 18 years. The arch is like an emotional landscape where the walls between our inner and outer worlds can disappear, allowing our unique individualities to mix together in endless ways.
