‘Abounds’ tells the story of strange figures and shapes emerging from a mysterious landscape to face the future. It captures personal transformation and self-discovery. By painting intangible figures I can explore the intersections of memory, presence, and absence. My painting represents all my recent efforts to embrace creative power as a woman artist. It symbolises the shedding away of past limitations and constraints of women as carers.
