This mandala piece mirrors itself in the style of yin and yang with one half being black acrylic painted on a white background, and its mirror being silver pen drawn onto black acrylic paint. I wanted this piece to explore the idea of balance, how something exactly the same can appear so different. The piece is fairly small and intricately painted but from a distance, bold and eye catching. I have drawn everything free hand so if you are looking for prefect symmetry, you've come to the wrong place! I have created this piece with care and attention to detail purposely only using the classic representation of a black and white yin and yang as an inspiration.
