The Ti bolom series is a visual representation of “toxic” partners. Based off the Saint Lucian folklore, Ti bolom signifies a creature who's been denied life, a slave to their master with various personality traits. 'cRy bAbY’ symbolises the narcissistic version of the Bolom. Having personal experience with one who portrayed a ‘cRy bAbY’ personality, I wanted to visually demonstrate my muse's virulent infatuation towards me, then behaving like a "crybaby" when not getting their way.

Meet ‘Babypulp,’ a female, contemporary artist from the lush, mountainous island of Saint Lucia. Painting, Videography, and Illustration are some of her gifts which she uses to express emotions of heartbreak, separation, suffering and happiness. Inspired by Basquiat, Klimt and Saville, her compositions consist of the rich colours, precise tones and detailed shading that provide depth, realism, and profound emotion. Recently, Pulp collaborated with ‘The World Reimagined project’ to produce globe sculptures, situated around the UK, with poignant illustrations that encourage the public to remember and examine the impacts of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. In the future, Babypulp aims to hold her own solo-exhibition called ‘Musa’s Diary’. This exhibition aims to provide social commentary, provoke discussion, and raise awareness on topical issues, including migration, abortion, and change.
