While the earlier pieces in this series were inspired by exotic and imaginary birds, this new series takes inspiration from a different source. The artist is now inspired by the fabulous feathers worn by showgirls. They've drawn inspiration from famous costume designers like William Travilla and Bob Mackie. The new artworks, including "Showgirl I & II," were created in 2021 and draw from the lively and colourful styles of feather-clad showgirls. These showgirls can be seen in various forms, like in Hollywood movies, burlesque performances, and drag bars. Each artwork in this collection aims to capture the glamour and the dynamic movement of these showgirls while also expressing the strength and power of femininity.
